(Washington, D.C.) - Montana's senior U.S. Senator Max Baucus met with the new CEO of ConocoPhillips, Ryan Lance of Great Falls this week to discuss Montana job opportunities and ConocoPhillips role in the state. Lance continues to have strong ties to the state, where his family farm is in Wolf Point and he remains active as a graduate of Montana Tech. Baucus urged Lance to continue his commitment to Montana jobs, recognizing that ConocoPhillips has 100 employees and 500 contractors working out of the Billings, Sidney and Baker offices.
"Ryan took his great education in Montana, added his Montana work ethic and has risen to lead one of the most important energy companies in the world. I encouraged him today to continue listening to Montanans and working together to make sure Montana has good-paying energy jobs for the future," said Baucus.
