Baucus to Present Trophy at 112th Brawl of Wild

Senator to Help Preside Over Victory Ceremony, Highlight Montana’s Storied Sports Rivalry

Posted: Thursday, November 15, 2012

(Washington, D.C.) - Montana's senior U.S. Senator Max Baucus is scheduled to present the trophy to the winner of the 112th football matchup between the Montana Grizzlies and the Montana State Bobcats.

As both an avid football fan and a leader in supporting affordable higher education opportunities for Montana families, Baucus says he's proud to be a part of Montana's most storied rivalry.

"The only thing better than catching Cat-Griz weekend in the fall, is a catching a championship game in the dead of winter," said Baucus. "I'm looking forward to highlighting the teamwork and good sportsmanship that makes this rivalry part of who we are as Montanans."

The University of Montana Grizzlies are hosting the 2nd ranked Montana State University Bobcats on Saturday, November 17th with kickoff scheduled at 1:38PM. Baucus will attend the game and help preside over the victory ceremonies on the field immediately following the game.
