Baucus Highlights Forsyth Veteran Heading to White House

Posted: Friday, February 24, 2012

(Washington, D.C.) - Montana's senior U.S. Senator Max Baucus issued the following statement today commending Forsyth-native and Silver Star Recipient Sgt. 1st Class Kyle Lyon who is one of 78 service members nationwide invited to attend the Feb. 29 White House Dinner:

"Kyle represents the best of Montana in his commitment to service, his work ethic and his love of our outdoor heritage and country.  I'm so proud of Kyle and grateful for his service in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Kyle joins all of the Montanans who have volunteered at greater rates than any other state in the country to serve and sacrifice for our country. He and all of our troops not only deserve this recognition - but they have earned it and have earned our ongoing support. I'd also like to recognize Kyle's family because when any member of the military puts on the uniform - the whole family also shoulders the sacrifice.  Kyle makes Forsyth and all of Montana proud!"
